The Portuguese driver has shone on a handful of outings in the IRC since 2008, recording a best result of second overall on the Madeira Rally last year. Although he is an asphalt expert, Monte Carlo will be the first time that Magalhaes has ever driven on snow. He has completed nearly 200 kilometres of testing and is set to tackle a wide-ranging programme of IRC events this year.
