Meeke celebrates Curitiba triumph

Kris Meeke celebrated his second successive victory on Rally Internacional de Curitiba with by taking to the city’s race circuit in his Peugeot 207 Super 2000.

The Intercontinental Rally Challenge counter was based at the track, which will host the opening two rounds of the World Touring Car Championship today (Sunday). The races are being televised live on Eurosport.

After completing his lap of the circuit and performing a series of donuts for the crowd, Meeke credited his win to Peugeot UK, which is supporting his IRC title campaign with Kronos Racing.

“Peugeot UK have been absolutely incredible and I think their commitment also got Škoda UK interested in supporting a car for Guy Wilks this year,” said Meeke. “To have two UK importers finishing first and second ahead of the factory cars is very good for everyone and shows the benefit importers can get from doing the IRC.”
