After SS7: Hänninen´s advantage grows
Works Škoda driver Juho Hänninen is on course to complete the opening leg of Rally Argentina with a commanding lead after he extended the gap over second-placed Guy Wilks to 29.3 seconds with his fifth stage victory of the weekend.
Overnight leader Kris Meeke, in a Peugeot 207, remains in third with Jan Kopecký a distant fourth in the second factory Fabia.
Hänninen’s time over the 20.43-kilometre Amboy-Santa Monica stage was more than 10 seconds faster than he managed when it ran for the first time in the morning.
There is one stage remaining before the overnight halt in Carlos Paz.
