    17 September 2012 08:58 IRC records broken in Yalta Several records were broken when the all-action Intercontinental Rally Challenge made its second visit to the Ukraine for the asphalt-based Prime Yalta Rally last weekend.

    Not only did Yağiz Avci become the first Turkish driver to win a round of the IRC, Robert Consani claimed Renault’s maiden podium in the series having also claimed the French make’s first stage victories with the Mégane RS model, the first driver to do so in a two-wheel-drive car.

    Elsewhere, Marco Tempestini (pictured) scored Subaru’s first fastest stage times in his Impreza R4 STI.
